Robert Ludlum characters to become gaming heroes
We might soon have a game out based on the plots and the characters from the fiction series The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Identity. The latest news in is that Vivendi Universal Games has signed on a deal with late author Robert Ludlum’s estate to bring his books to gaming screens. As a result, many of his 29 spy fiction novels would now become possible plots for innovating games bringing his fans something to cheer about.
Vivendi Universal Games said today that they are collaborating with the authority managing the rights of the late author (Ludlum Entertainment) and gained the game development rights to the late author’s works. The contract is for a long period of time and the gaming company would be legible for developing, publishing and distributing multi-platform games based on the author’s best-selling series and related films.
Both the entities however declined to report the financial details involved in the deal. Bruce Hack, CEO of VU Games said in a statement: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to launch a new line of games inspired by some of the most exciting spy-action franchises ever created. The interest in Robert Ludlum’s works is enormous, as evidenced by the worldwide popularity and commercial success of his books and movies.”
