Sony Playstation 3 2.40 firmware coming on July 2
Japanese videogame console maker Sony has announced that they would be releasing the next firmware update for their Playstation 3 gaming console on July 2.
This latest firmware would be the version 2.40. It is designed to provide enhanced online gaming functionality.
This update would allow access to XrossMediaBar from inside the games. Gamers would be able to check if their friends are online while playing the games.
This update is also likely to deliver the much wanted trophies to recognize players’ achievements in the online arena.
This latest firmware update would be free for all the owners of the Sony PS3 gaming console.
