PlayStation 3 80GB to sell for $399
Sony has announced that they would launch a new variant of their Sony Playstation 3 gaming console that would ship this September with an 80GB hard disk.
This new variant would retail for $399.
Incidentally, the company is currently selling the 40GB PS3 model at this price.
Sony needed to launch this cheaper updated edition to compete with Xbox 360 which has just seen a price cut.
Sony Playstation 3 competes with Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii in the videogame console market.
