EA+ID=IDEA? Id Software announces a partnership with EA

John Carmack has announced that Id Software is now partnering with videogame industry giant Electronic Arts.

Id would now join the EA Partners program which already includes Valve and Crytek.

Carmack further revealed that their upcoming title Rage will be published by Electronic Arts.

Id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead spoke about the new developments: “Rage represents a new direction for our games. Rage is a shooter unlike any other, developed on our cutting-edge new technology, and built to the exacting standards id is famous for. We’re excited to have the support of EA Partners to launch Rage on the world.”
