Ubisoft releases Myst V: End of Ages demo for Macintosh
Ubisoft has good news for the owners of Apple Macintosh computers. The company has just released a demo version of the much-anticipated Myst V: End of Ages game for the Mac. The game is expected to hit the stores sometime next month. The demo can be downloaded from the website (Macgamefiles.com) and is around 450 Megs big. Interestingly the company has released the Mac demo before the version for the windows platform.
The company says that this latest version would be the last one of the series. Myst V: End of Ages was announced by the company last January and is being developed by the team led by developer Cyan Worlds. The gaming series has been one of the most successful and popular of its times. Only Sims have been more successful in the history of computer gaming. Myst has always been a graphical adventure game that features a point-and-click interface.
Myst V: End of Ages brings the Myst story full circle and continues to story of the game after the end of the first game. Beenox, a Quebec-based game developer has been responsible for the development of the port for the Macintosh platform. They are now owned by Activision and are also working on next-generation console conversions.
The requirement for this game to be released for the Mac platform includes OS X v10.2.8 or later, G4/1GHz or faster, 256MB RAM and an ATI Radeon 7000 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM.
