Nintendo leads game console sales in the second quarter of the year
The April to June period was again dominated by Nintendo consoles.
This is not a surprise considering Wii is dominating this generation of gaming consoles with its innovative game play.
Market reports claim that the Japanese company shipped 5.2 million of its Wii console during the April to June period.
This is much more than the consoles shipped by rival company Sony and Microsoft.
Sony shipped 1.6 million PlayStation 3 consoles in this period compared to 1.3 million Xbox 360 shipped by Microsoft.
