John Carmack: id working on Apple iPhone games

John Carmack has said in a statement that id Software is working on some iPhone related projects.

The company could soon launch games for this platform.

He said: “We’re probably going to be making some moves to do some iPhone development.”

He added: “We have two different projects that are at least vaguely in the works for the iPhone.”

One of these projects is an extension of their existing mobile projects. The other one is expected to be something spectacular.

He added about Apple: “I’m really saddened that we don’t have an iPhone product out now, because I think Apple is doing so many things well right now and I think they’re going to be a really positive force.”
