GTA: San Andreas could be back later this month

GTA: San Andreas has been one of the most successful games of the recent times. However, things became messier for the developers Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two when the news spread in the online media that the game was shipped with certain hidden levels containing adult content which was generally unlocked to the common user but could have been unlocked using a mod downloaded from the internet.

The company initially denied this claim and said that the mod itself consisted of the hidden adult games and the original shipped DVD had nothing of that sort. However, with things getting out of their hands, the company had to in the end admit that they indeed had hidden levels, which were never supposed to be viewed by the end gamers.

The game was then banned from various countries and had to be pulled back by the company, which promised to fix the issues with the content and release an updated release. The latest news in is that Rockstar Games is due to release the cleaned up version of the GTA: San Andreas later this month in the retail market.

Online retailers say that the game should be out by 29 September and this puts it in the running for the lucrative pre-Christmas run of videogames. While, the company is still in some controversies about their upcoming game expecting to contain more controversial violent stuff in Bully.
