Sony delays the launch of LittleBigPlanet video game
Sony has revealed that they are now delaying the launch of the much awaited game LittleBigPlanet.
The reason for the delay is said to be the background music used in the game which could create problems for the company.
The song is said to be Tapha Niang which is performed by Malian musician Toumani Diabate.
Sony spoke about the problematic aspects of the song: “One of the background music tracks that was licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur’an. We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologize for any offense this may have caused.”
Sony said that they now aim to start delivering the game to retail stores during the week of October 27.
