World of Warcraft has more than 11 million subscribers

World of Warcraft has become a little country of its own. The game now has more than 11 million subscribers.

This number is in fact more than the population of some states in the United States.

Blizzard Entertainment is likely to gain more customers as they are preparing to launch the game’s second expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King.

It is coming out on November 13.

Blizzard announced in a press statement: “Since debuting in North America in 2004, World of Warcraft has become the most popular MMORPG in the world. In addition to being the bestselling PC game of 2007, The Burning Crusade expansion holds the record for fastest-selling PC game of all time, with nearly 2.4 million copies sold in its first 24 hours of availability.”
