Take-Two to bring GTA: San Andreas back to market
Troubled by legal hassles after hidden sexual content was discovered in the successful game GTA: San Andreas, gaming company Take-Two had to pull the game out of the market. The company has now fixed the game, removed the objectionable content from the original DVD, and is now prepared to re-launch the game in the market for further sales.
The company has announced plans to resume sales of “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” in October. It has been two months since the game was banned in several countries and taken out of shelves by most retail store chains. Take-Two would now be selling a special-edition of “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” for Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 2 console system.
They plan to include in the package, a DVD with a back-story to the game and a documentary film called “Sunday Driver” they launched on the UMD format yesterday. Also in plan is the launch of bundle of “Grand Theft Auto 3”, “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” and “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox gaming console.
