Nintendo expecting strong sales of Nintendo DSi

Nintendo is scheduled to start selling their DSi handheld console in the coming days.

Nintendo DSi is the latest variant of their DS console.

The company said in a statement that they expect this new variant to be a big seller in the world markets.

Nintendo DSi comes loaded with a built-in camera and enhanced audio capabilities.

The company is aiming to sell a total of 300,000 units in the first two weeks.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said in a statement: “The booking status of the DSi is not bad and I don’t think it will take off slowly … We are not selling a product based on a design change.”

Nintendo DSi would feature a similar design to Nintendo DS Lite. It would be slightly slimmer and features a slightly larger display screen.
