Videogame sales went up in October
Global economy might be facing tough times but the videogame industry seems to be doing well.
Sales of videogame hardware and software rose 18 percent in October from a year earlier.
It had gone down 7% in September this year compared to the previous year.
Nintendo Wii and DS continued to dominate their respective markets. Wii sold 803,210 units in October.
With this Nintendo has sold more than 13 million units of Wii since its launch in 2006.
Microsoft Xbox 360 saw sales of 371,000 units. Sony PS3 sold 190,000 units in October.
