Reports: Nintendo Wii sold 3.5 Million units in December

Nintendo Wii continues to rock the sales charts around the world.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has stated in a report that the Japanese company sold around 3.5 million units of Wii gaming console in December 2008.

Nintendo is said to have sold just around 2 million units in the previous month.

Pachter spoke in the report: “The long-awaited Wii production increase finally arrived late in September and we have seen significant increases each month since. We expect this to continue in December, with supply and demand in balance by early 2009.”

The report also said that Microsoft sold 1.35 million Xbox 360 consoles in December last year. Sony managed to sell 750,000 units in the same period.
