Nintendo partnering with National Association for Musical Education
Japanese videogame console maker Nintendo has announced a partnership with the National Association for Musical Education.
The company would now help schools in the US market to help delivering music lessons through their Wii Music game.
This program would run in 51 cities in the USA.
As part of this plan, Nintendo is also partnering with the Blue Bear School of Music in San Fransisco and the Opus 118 Harlem School of Music in New York.
A teacher spoke about this plan: “Wii Music has brought a renewed excitement to music class for students, myself and even some of the classroom teachers. I love how many music standards can be covered in such a short time. Students also have to use language skills, spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.”
