Wolfenstein 3D now on Apple iPhone
Id Software has launched the mobile edition of Wolfenstein 3D videogame on the Apple App Store.
This game is playable on both Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
They are offering this game for USD 5 on the Apple App Store.
ID Software said that the game has been developed from scratch for the iPhone platform.
It features an all-new control system developed by John Carmack, Id Software co-founder specifically for the Apple iPhone.
They have released the source code of the game on their website.
Carmack spoke about their decision to reveal the source code of the game: “If anyone makes a quality product and links to the original Wolf app, we can start having links to ‘Wolf derived’ or ‘Wolf related’ projects. That should turn out to be a win for everyone.”
They are now working on bringing Doom to Apple iPhone.
