Sony might have a price cut in store for Playstation 3
Sony recently posted their first quarterly loss in as long as 14 years.
Things are not looking good for the company as they struggle to compete in this tough economy.
The company however is looking good with their Playstation 3 gaming console for the current year.
Sony has revealed that they are aiming to sell 13 million units in the current financial year.
This is somewhat of an optimistic target considering they only sold around 10 million units last year.
This could be a major hint at an upcoming price cut on the PS3 gaming console.
In fact, a company representative admitted: “If we announce our pricing strategies that affects our inventory level.”
Sony Playstation 3 remains the most expensive gaming console of the current generation. Nintendo Wii continues to dominate the market but Playstation 3 is likely to last for a longer time.
