Electronic Arts excels in gaming industry
Computer game developer and publisher Electronic Arts are the dominating market leaders and have excelled when it comes to revenues, popular titles, and happy workers. This fact has been said in a report released by the trade magazine Game Developer. The company headed the list of “Top 20″ list of entertainment software publishers.
The magazine took into consideration facts like revenues, numbers of new releases, quality of games, and staff pay and perks while generating the ratings for these gaming companies. In fact, this is the third straight year that Electronic Arts has headed this ranking. The company dominates the market and has revenues close to 3.1 billion dollars.
Magazine editor Simon Carless said in a written release: “Game Developer magazine’s survey compiles the essential ranking for each publisher, not just simply using raw revenue values.” Some of the main competitors for Electronic Arts are Activision, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony, which completed the top five in the list released by the magazine.
Some of the popular gaming titles/series out by EA are Sims2, From Russian With Love, Harry Potter, and an array of professional sports games like Need for Speed, Fifa, and NBA.
