Nintendo planning a global release for Nintendo Revolution
If you think Microsoft was doing a one off with their global launch of the Microsoft Xbox 360, think again. Nintendo has something similar planned for their Revolution gaming console due to be launched sometime next year. The aim is to launch this gaming machine simultaneous worldwide sometime after April 2006.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata was speaking about their next generation gaming console: “I can only say that it’s coming out during 2006, but it will be after the current fiscal year. We hope to make it a simultaneous worldwide release as much as it’s possible.” No fixed date is announced for the launch though it is now somewhat confirmed that it would be launched between April and December next year. It still is a very long period to be sure about anything.
The company also has not kept any estimates of sales for their next financial year. Though, they are claiming that Nintendo Revolution would be a failure if it could not outsell their current GameCube machine. The gaming console has been in news recently for its unorthodox controller that the company displayed a couple of months back.
The company said just this about the controller that it would be using a variety of technologies and would be usable than just the gaming machine.
