Qualcomm to launch Zeebo gaming console in Mexico
Mobile technology company Qualcomm is collaborating with Billionaire Carlos Slim to launch a low cost gaming console in the Mexican market.
This console is named Zeebo. Slim controlled America Movil would provide internet access to this gaming device.
Games would be downloaded from the web and the customer would not be required to buy DVDs.
Zeebo is partly owned by Qualcomm. The company said that the console would go on sale later this year.
Zeebo is already on sale in the Brazilian market.
Qualcomm is aiming this device at developing markets which cannot afford more expensive options like the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3.
