Monopoly City Streets could become the next big thing in online gaming
Monopoly City Streets is a project which has been developed by Hasbro and Google.
This version of the board game Monopoly uses Google Maps as its base.
This means you compete on a global level with planet earth as the platform.
This is probably the biggest version of Monopoly we have seen ever.
Gamers would be able to bid for any part of the world. They start with 3 million monopoly dollars each.
The game would go live on September 9. The developers had this to say about the game:
On the 9th SEPTEMBER, a world of property empire building on an unimaginable scale will be launched! A live worldwide game of MONOPOLY using Google Maps as the game board. The goal is simple. Play to beat your friends and the world to become the richest property magnate in existence.
Own any street in the world. Build humble houses, crazy castles and stupendous skyscrapers to collect rent. Use MONOPOLY Chance Cards to sabotage your mates by building Hazards on their streets.
