Electronic Arts to cut jobs
Electronic Arts has come out with their latest revenue report and the numbers are not good.
The company has announced that they are going to cut some jobs.
EA has posted a wider quarterly loss and they are now going to cut around 1500 jobs in their global operations.
They are also now going to focus on games which have higher margins.
EA further said that they are now planning to publish around 40 titles next year. This is down from 60 in the previous one.
A company representative said: “We’re cutting the projects and the support activities that don’t make economic sense and freeing up more resources … to push our key titles even harder”.
