Nintendo Revolution to be cheaper than Xbox 360 and PS3

Nintendo remains the most secretive company of the three videogame console developers. The gamers have minimal information on their upcoming Nintendo Revolution gaming console. We just have seen its funky game controller which somewhat looks like a television remote control. Nintendo has also claimed that they are planning to make it a device, which would appeal to the vast untapped market of non-gamers.

We now have another interesting aspect of this gaming console, which is expected to be out sometime next year. One of Nintendo’s most public faces and the executive vice president of sales and marketing at the company, Reggie Fils-Aime said in a statement to CNN/Money that their Nintendo Revolution would be cheaper than both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

He said: “Value has been a key card for us this generation, and we’ll continue to play it. Do I expect us to be at a lower price point than our competition? Yes, I do. Have we determined a price yet? No, we haven’t.” some discussion forums suggests that the price could be around USD 199-250 dollars considering the cheapest Xbox 360 in the market would come at a price of USD 299.

Another interesting point about Nintendo Revolution is that there are little chances that Revolution would support high-definition televisions. Fils-Aime spoke on this issue: “What we’ll offer in terms of game play and approachability will more than make up for the lack of HD.”

Nintendo doesn’t seem to be worried by its competitors(xbox360 & PS3),but fairly speaking, this machine doesn’t stand a chance against xbox360 & ps3,when it comes to graphics and speed. But it doesn’t mean that Nintendo will be totally out of the competition. They do have some plus points like so much talked about controller & most importantly a far lesser price.I think this machine might attract occassional gamers who will be reluctant to spend 400-500 bucks on a gaming console. But for me I have only machine on my mind & that is PS33333333333 yeh!
