Videogaming this year has been dominated by talks about Microsoft and Sony. Microsoft has just launched their next generation gaming console Xbox 360 and Sony is all set to launch their Playstation 3 sometime next year. However, the original champion of gaming consoles Nintendo is also making news with their upcoming gaming console Revolution.

But, there is more to Nintendo than just their upcoming Revolution gaming console. This year saw the launch of their innovative Nintendo DS hand held gaming machine, which has been quite successful in itself as well. The dual screen gaming machine with one of the screen supporting touch screen has in fact dominated Sony Playstation Portable in some markets.

Nintendo made their console more interesting with the launch of another innovative product called Nintendogs. The latest news in claims that since its launch on October 7 in Europe, over 1 million copies of the game have been sold. In fact, it has become one of the selling factors for the gaming console from Nintendo, which has seen sales of 100,000 units per week since the last three weeks.

Nintendo has also just recently launched Mario Kart DS, which the company claims is the first Nintendo game to offer Wi-Fi gaming through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The company expects to improve on sales of Nintendo DS gaming console with this spectacular release.
