Microsoft faces a lawsuit over their Xbox 360 gaming console
Software giants Microsoft recently launched the first of the three next generation gaming console Xbox 360. The console is already available in the US and the European market. And they have had a smashing launch in both these markets. However, not all owners of this new gaming console are happy, as one of them has gone to the extent of suing the company claiming that his Xbox 360 video-game console is inoperable due to overheating.
Robert Byers has lodged his complaint in a federal court in Illinois. He is claiming that the unit shipped by the company in the market has a design flaw that could cause the power adapter to overheat. He also alleges that Microsoft was aware of the problem and still went ahead with the launch. Due to this problem, the console goes into a protective mode and shuts down whenever the power supply and processors overheat.
He is not the first person to complain about this issue. Soon after the launch on November 22, many discussion forums reported similar complaints from some of the early owners of this gaming device. Some Xbox 360 owners said that their units stopped working after they had played for a short while. Others claimed that the units crashed during game play.
Microsoft has not responded to these complaints and just said this about the lawsuit: “We were only notified by the claimant’s attorney yesterday about his complaint. We are currently reviewing the complaint.” A Microsoft spokesperson from the company also said that they have received a very small number of complaints about the Xbox 360 and bulks of the owners are very happy with the console.

I guess major levels of nerds and freaks like this guy have too much time on his hands… “Ohhhh Microsoft, my xbox 360 wont work Im sueing, lord forbid I leave my house or get a life” god damn idiot.

i bought xbox 360 fron singapore (japanese version).i took it to india with in 2 days it stopped working.acc. to me its a waste of money.the vender told me that it holds international warranty.please let me know any authorized service centre in india else i will throw it to dustbin.in future will go for sony playstation 3 would never recommened any one in the hell to go for xbox 360.its a real bad experiance with microsoft.regards
