Nintendo now has more than 200,000 users of their Wi-Fi connection
Gaming console maker Nintendo has reported that they have seen more than 200,000 users joining their three-week-old Wi-Fi Connection wireless service, which supports the company’s Nintendo DS handheld gaming machine. This number is for unique users and pretty impressive by any standard.
The service has been designed to allow the Nintendo DS users to play games with people in other locations on the internet wirelessly. It no longer matters whether the gamer is in your side or located somewhere else in the world! The company also recently reported huge success of their innovative game “Nintendogs”, “Mario Kart DS” and “Animal Crossing: Wild World.”
The company also said that the total number of connections (not unique this time) has touched an even more impressive figure of 3 million plus. The company started offering the wireless playing capability on the game “Mario Kart DS”. The service was firstly launched in the United States in collaboration with Wi-Fi service provider Wayport and with McDonald’s Corp.
The service is available for free at nearly 6,000 of McDonald’s fast-food restaurants in the United States.
