ATI reports impressive revenue figures
Graphic card and chip manufacturer ATI has come out with their latest financial results and they have done pretty good beating the estimates in the market. ATI came out with their revenue reports for the quarter ending November 30 and the figure stood at around USD 591 million.
This figure is an improvement of around 26% compared to the earlier quarter. ATI believes that this improved performance was mainly due to the popularity of the recently launched Radeon X1000 90-nanometer product-line. In addition, ATI is building the graphical components in the recently launched Microsoft Xbox 360 and this is also going to help the company in the longer run.
ATI CEO, David Orton said in a statement: “We are pleased with our overall progress in the quarter and remain intensely focused on technology leadership and operational execution. Our PC business is benefiting from strong demand for the new X1000 series GPUs as well as significant growth in integrated chipsets. Our Consumer segment continued to record solid growth, with handheld shipments up nearly 60 per cent sequentially and surpassing 21 million units in the quarter.”
