Nvidia adds two more chips to their nForce 4 lineup

The leaders in Graphic Card manufacturing market, Nvidia have added two more chips to its Intel-oriented nForce 4 North Bridge line-up. This would help the company target budget segment consumers for their products. These new products are nForce 4 SLI XE and nForce 4 Ultra and both of these support the Socket 775 Intel processors.

In addition, the Ultra series chips also support the AMD’s 64-bit CPU line-up. However, the SLI XE range would work exclusively for Intel microprocessors. Nvidia has also claimed that both of these new chipsets operate up to 20 PCI Express lanes.

Nvidia has also made sure that both of these new offerings contain Nvidia’s DualDDR2 dual-channel DDR 2 memory controller. This means that these chipsets can run up to four 3Gbps Serial ATA drives with RAID 0, 1 and 5, and four parallel ATA peripherals. In addition, these chipsets are also equipped with Nvidia’s ActiveArmor hardware firewall and Gigabit Ethernet.
