Nvidia launches GeForce 7300 GS
The makers of high-end graphic cards for the personal computers, Nvidia have announced the availability of their latest offering GeForce 7300 GS. This is the latest addition to the company’s GeForce 7 series and Nvidia claims that this card would offer high-definition video and realistic gaming effects at mainstream price points.
Ujesh Desai, NVIDIA general manager for desktop GPUs said in a statement on this new product offering: “The 7300 GS GPU is an ideal foundation for today’s mainstream PCs because it offers high-definition video playback features that can not be matched by integrated graphics.”
The card is based on the architecture of high-end 7800 GPU and would support features like PureVideo. This advance feature delivers better picture clarity, smoother video, accurate color, and precise image scaling for the playback of video content. Desai added: “For an entry-level gaming PC, 7300 GS supports Shader Model 3.0 and high dynamic-ranging lighting (HDR), which we expect new games will require in the future.”
Nvidia added that this card is perfect for users who are planning to upgrade to Microsoft Windows Vista operating system later this year.
