ATI launches cards based on X1900 graphics architecture
ATI Technologies has finally announced the availability of products based on their new X1900 graphics architecture. The company launched four new cards based on this architecture aimed at providing the best graphic capabilities around. These new products are Radeon X1900 XT, Radeon X1900 XTX, and Radeon X1900 All-In-Wonder along with the Radeon X1900 CrossFire Edition.
All of these four cards are based on the R580 processor, now known as the Radeon X1900 GPU. These new graphic cards are immediately available in the US market and the company plans to soon launch them in the other markets worldwide. These cards however are not cheap but are some of the fastest available from the company.
ATI has priced the cards as under:
Radeon X1900 XT - $549
Radeon X1900 XTX - $649
Radeon X1900 CrossFire - $599
Radeon X1900 All-In-Wonder - $499
Rick Bergman, senior vice president and general manager of ATI’s PC Business said in a statement on these new products launched by the company: “All of the Radeon X1900 products raise the bar in so many ways. They deliver the best performance, they offer image quality features unavailable from any other company and they are widely available. ATI committed to delivering the best products with this launch and has definitely followed through.”
