Halo 2 for PC to be Windows Vista exclusive

Software giants Microsoft have announced a plan, which is not going to make many gamers happy. They have announced that they are indeed going to make a PC version of their Halo 2 game. However, it is going to be exclusive for their upcoming operating system Windows Vista only.

That means, it is not going to work on their current offering Windows XP and gamers wanting to play Halo 2 on their desktops would have to upgrade the entire operating system for it! Thankfully, it is expected to be an upgrade, which should be cheaper than buying an Xbox 360 to play Halo 2… Nice going Microsoft.

Microsoft is due to launch their Windows Vista operating system later this year to make in time for the holiday season in the United States. Maybe, Microsoft is trying hard to come up with new reasons on why people should upgrade their Windows XP machines to the Windows Vista operating systems. However, this decision might even lead to a situation where the company fails to sell enough number of copies for the PC platform. That would make it a very bad decision indeed…

screw windows, thats complete bs, ill bet it can be hacked to work on windows xp. hopefully this is the only title thats like that.

honestly, if they wanted to increase incentive they should try making an OS that doesnt suck, and yes ive tried the beta, the only thing i can see as an improvement is maybe the interface, which is still lacking, the rest is a jumble of crap features or other windows made software peieces that will surely be full of security holes.

They have security all wrong, they try to implement it at the highest level when is should be at the lowest, anyone who knows how linux works will understand that. You can put your security measures on top, it doesnt work.
