Intel based Macs: Blizzard Entertainment to release World of Warcraft 1.9.3

Owners of recently launched Intel based Macintosh computers have something to cheer for as Blizzard Entertainment have announced that they are soon going to release version 1.9.3 of its popular online role playing game World of Warcraft.

This latest version would come in a Universal Binary capable of running natively on PowerPC or Intel-based Macs. The game was originally launched for both the PC and the Mac platform way back in 2004.

Since then, Blizzard Entertainment has continuously released updates for both the platforms and the latest version would compliment the recently launched Macintosh machines powered by the dual core Intel processors.

Some other expected changes in the latest release are: improvements to individual character classes including the Paladin, Rogue, and Warrior; changes to Items, Professions, Quests, and Reputation; improvements to Battlegrounds, Raid, and Dungeons; and changes to the World Environment itself.

The latest release would however require Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
