Sony PSP now supports Flash, Podcasts

Sony is continuing with their updates for their Playstation Portable gaming device. The latest software update for this device brings support for Flash content and the ability to save audio podcasts.

Until now, the Sony PSP’s web browser was incapable of displaying Flash content. This latest update would fix that problem. As far as podcast support is concerned, users will now be able to download and store files to a Memory Stick for offline playback.

In addition, Sony has also added some more functionality in this update. This includes support for AAC audio, simplified, and traditional Chinese characters, and an enhancement to the LocationFree TV player.

The latest update is essentially the PSP firmware version 2.70 and is available online. Users can also use the device’s update function in the main menu to download the latest firmware.
