SanDisk displays a 4 GB Flash Card for Sony Playstation Portable
Owners of Sony PSP device can look forward to this amazing add-on to their device. SanDisk would soon launch a 4 GB flash memory card, which is specially targeted towards these gamers.
The company showcased this device along with the Sansa MP3 Player at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in the Los Angeles Convention Center.
This card has a storage capacity capable of storing up to 12 hours of games or 64 hours of MP3 music tracks. Movie fans can store 20 or more hours of movies and videos trailers. 4 GB capacity is also enough to store a massive number of digital images.
SanDisk would sell this card for $219.99. They are already selling cards of capacities 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB and 2 GB. Sony PSP normally uses the Universal Media Disc (UMD) for selling games. This format is not recordable so the company collaborated with SanDisk to develop this Memory Stick PRO format for the Sony PSP.
SanDisk also showcased the new Sansa e200 MP3 player at the show. This device comes in three capacities: 2 GB, 4 GB, and 6 GB costing between $199.99 to $299.99. These are targeted at the market leader Apple iPod.
