Microsoft Xbox 360 coming to India this October

Gamers in India can rejoice. Microsoft has announced that they would be officially launching their Xbox 360 gaming console in the local market this coming October.

This is interesting because none of the gaming console developers have taken the Indian market seriously till now.

Xbox 360 would be available in the local market with a price point set at INR 19,990 for the basic system. Microsoft India corporate global sales VP Mitch Koch said in a statement on this development: “We are hopeful that in the coming three to five years the gaming market in India is going to grow at a fast pace. And being the first to launch this second-generation console, we are going to capture 100 per cent market share.”

The company would also be offering a 10 per cent off discount for customers who pre-order this console. The aim is to first launch the Xbox 360 in the major cities in India followed by a wider launch around the country.
