Sony PSP firmware updated to version 2.71
The makers of the Playstation range of gaming consoles Sony have released the latest firmware update for their Playstation Portable device.
The latest firmware for Sony PSP is in version 2.71 now and it’s essentially a minor update and brings fixes for previously added features.
The firmware informs the user of two specific changes upon installation and one of the new features added to the PSP is the ability to download game demos directly from the PSP Internet browser to the system’s memory stick.
Sony has also fixed some issues earlier reported in its LocationFree Player so that video output is displayed properly when an external tuner is selected.
The company had recently announced that the PSP would soon be able to get the Portable TV-like ability to download movies and short clips from Sony’s iTunes-rival Connect site. This is yet to be launched by the company.
