Nintendo Wii might offer connectivity with DS/DS Lite
Japanese Videogame console maker Nintendo continues to reveal more details on their upcoming next generation gaming console Nintendo Wii.
As per latest incoming reports, Nintendo Wii might feature connectivity with current generation DS and DS Lite handheld consoles.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said in a statement that Wii users would be able to download Nintendo DS demos to their handheld and DS device could also be used as a touch screen controller for compatible Wii games!
Gamers would be able to use the feature called DS Station to download supplementary material, which could add special content to DS games played on the Wii.
In addition, the company added that they are happy with the name Wii which has been somewhat controversial. Nintendo believes that the Wii name will catch up and the games would accept it in the longer term.
