Electronic Arts believe Nintendo Wii has the potential to be No. 1
Most people have said that Wii would end up becoming the second console for most gamers in the market. Considering the high-end features provided by Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 and the prices, it would be unlikely that most gamers would buy both these consoles.
The more likely combination is of Xbox 360 and Wii or PS3 and Wii. And this means that Nintendo could very well sell a huge number of the Wii gaming console.
Electronic Arts’ Jeff Brown has expressed this point of view and added that they plan to support Wii platform more than they did with Nintendo GameCube.
He said: “Everybody’s saying that the Nintendo Wii is so unique that it’s going to be the second system people buy, meaning if you own a 360 or a PS3, you’ll probably also buy a Nintendo Wii. The funny thing is, some people say that discursively, like it’s some sort of dig at Nintendo – and what they don’t get is that if you’re second on everybody’s system, you’re first overall.”
The world’s largest publisher of videogames has already promised to launch six games for the Wii and they might even start working on the Nintendo Wii received a spectacular welcome at E3.
Brown added: “One of the things that we noticed after E3 is we thought, you know, we’re going to support Nintendo, they’ve got an extraordinarily loyal base of consumers all over the world, and we had a number of games we planned to make for Nintendo Wii. That said, we were very surprised by the level of enthusiasm we saw at E3 and subsequently for the Wii.”
It would be awesome if Nintendo indeed manages to beat one of the two players Sony or Microsoft.

Wii is a no brainer – it’s fun, affordable, trendy, and well made. You would have to have one as nothing else compares.
Sony is boring, over hyped, unreliable, crap.
MicroSoft is somewhere in between.
PC is heads & shoulders more powerful, upgradeable, but is technical so not for kids.

I believe Nintendo will easily beat both Sony and Microsoft, just as they are now doing with the DS.
