Cartoon Network developing a multiplayer online game for kids

Television network Cartoon Network is rumored to be developing an online multiplayer game similar to popular videogames like “World of Warcraft” and “EverQuest”.

This online game is expected to be launched in two years time and would enable kids to interact with Cartoon Network characters like Mac, Bloo and the Kids Next Door.

Online games like these have become very popular in the recent years with popular games like World of Warcraft having millions of users.

Cartoon Network revealed that they are working with a South Korean company, Grigon Entertainment to develop this new game, which would solely target kids between ages 6 to 14.

When asked about the development costs of this program, details were not revealed by the company said that the expenses are similar to developing a completely new television series. It would be great to see how successful Cartoon Network is with this brand new initiative.
