Sony PSP now supports Video RSS Feeds
Sony Computer Entertainment America has released an update to their Sony PSP handheld gaming console.
The latest firmware for Sony Playstation Portable is in v2.80 and it now comes with support for downloading video and image content through real simple syndication (RSS) feeds.
Sony added that the PSP can now also register with a wireless LAN access point and play AAC files with the .3gp file extension.
In addition, the PSP can now read and play files lying in various folders on the storage media. Users would be told about this latest update the next time they connect their PSP to the internet.
Market analysts believe that these continued updates make Sony PSP an exciting device to acquire and Sony is likely to add more capabilities in the near future.
However, Sony is somewhat failing to challenge Nintendo’s DS Lite device which continues to outsell PSP in most markets worldwide.
