Tokyo Game Show this year to be the biggest yet

The organizers of the E3 show in the USA might be considering cutting down on the size of the game show, but it is now confirmed that the Tokyo Game Show 2006 is set to become the biggest game show of its type ever.

This upcoming event has been organized to showcase the Japan’s computer games industry and it would take place between September 22 and September 24.

As many as 143 exhibitors have booked 1,710 booth units as per the information released by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA). Last year’s show had 131 exhibitors and 1,433 booth units.

However, the organizers have for some reason predicted that they are due to get fewer visitors this year compared to last year’s event. No explanation was given for this prediction.

The event would begin with a keynote speech from the president of Sony Computer Entertainment Ken Kutaragi who is expected to release some more information on the upcoming Sony Playstation 3 gaming console.
