Gameloft to develop games based on Lost and Desperate Housewives
Videogame developers have long been developing games based on popular movies and their characters. Now, they are targeting some of the popular television series for developing new games.
Mobile game publisher Gameloft is one of the largest players in the market and they have just signed on a deal with Touchstone Television to develop, publish and distribute mobile games based on ABC’s hit series including Lost and Desperate Housewives.
The first of these games would be out in January next year. ABC Entertainment and Touchstone TV senior vp business development Bruce Gersh spoke on this deal: “The success of both ‘Lost’ and ‘Desperate Housewives’ has been unparalleled. Both shows have a huge following with deeply loyal fans, and we are confident that Gameloft, with their creative and talented pool of producers, will exceed those expectations and develop a game that captures the defining essence of each show.”
