Madden NFL 07 sell 2 million units in first week for Electronic Arts

Electronic Arts has claimed that they have managed to sell as many as 2 million units of their “Madden NFL 07″ videogame in the first week of launch.

Impressively, it is the best first-week performance in the 17-year history of the football video game series for the company.

EA added that these sales were up 12 percent from last year when they managed to sell 1.8 million units of the game in the first week of the launch.

This videogame series is also the largest U.S. sports video game franchise. The game features famed broadcaster and former Oakland Raiders head coach John Madden.
