Sony denies plan for next generation Playstation Portable

Market analysts will not believe this but Sony has officially denied that they are currently working on a new version of their current generation Sony Playstation Portable gaming device.

The rumors were started by an article in the US version of PSM magazine. The article predicted the arrival of such an update of the Sony PSP.

The article further said that the updated PSP model would be \”thinner and lighter\” than the original model.

A Sony spokesperson however responded in a statement: \”We currently have no plans to release another version of the PSP.\”

The company however does plan to release a set of attachments and add-ons for this gaming device to make it capable to perform more tasks.

Sony said on the upcoming Tokyo Game Show: \”The camera and GPS peripherals will be the main attraction, and a total of 16 titles will be showcased to demonstrate the strong line-up of software that will be released towards the year.\”
