Nintendo on track with their Wii launch plans

Japanese videogame console maker Nintendo has said that they are on track with the launch schedule of their upcoming Wii gaming console.

The company is due to reveal full details regarding their upcoming Wii console later this month.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime is soon expected to reveal North American launch details including a launch date and pricing this September 14 at a trade-only event. The details for the launch in the European market are expected to come soon after.

Nintendo in addition also denied the circulating rumors in the market that they are facing issues with the Wii and its motion-sensing controller.

A company spokesperson said in a statement: “The reports are entirely rumor and speculation. I can confirm that the Wii is very much on course for a Q4 release, as Nintendo originally stated”.
