Dead Rising having a great time in the retail market

Capcom’s Dead Rising has been a successful game for the Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming console. The game has seen sales of more than 500,000 units in the first two weeks of launch.

Dead Rising is the first game from the company, which has been released for the Xbox 360 gaming console, and the sales have managed to surpass their expectations.

They are now going to release the game in the European markets on September 8. Japanese market would get this game later this month.

Dead Rising takes place over 72 hours and stars Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist in pursuit of the story of a lifetime.

Capcom Entertainment’s Vice President of marketing said in a statement on the performance of this game: “Response to Dead Rising from the trade, press and consumers has been tremendous, and the success of the game is a result of Capcom’s recognition of Xbox 360 system’s possibilities and starting development early on in order to deliver such a high-quality game.”
