IBM delivers Broadway processor for Nintendo Wii

IBM has revealed that they are now shipping the Broadway processor, which would be used by Japanese video console manufacturer Nintendo in their upcoming Wii gaming console.

This is part of the agreement signed on between the two companies earlier this year, which is seeing them collaborate on the Nintendo Wii gaming console.

The Broadway processor is based on the IBM\’s silicon-on-insulator Power Architecture. It provides impressive processing power without consuming much energy supplies.

Nintendo is due to launch the Wii gaming console by November this year and they would be taking on Sony Playstation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming console.

Nintendo has a little bit edge over Sony which are somewhat facing delays in the launch of the Playstation 3 console.
