Nintendo Wii to cost USD 250 in USA
Japanese videogame console maker Nintendo has now confirmed that they would be launching the Wii gaming console in the U.S. on November 19 for about $250.
This would be their entry into the next generation console market, which already has Microsoft’s Xbox 360 gaming console.
Sony is also due to enter the market with their Playstation 3 gaming console. They would launch the PS3 on November 17 in North America at two price levels, $499 and $599.
Nintendo Wii would launch in Japan on December 2 for 25,000 yen ($212). They are aiming to sell around 4 million units globally this year. USA market is expected to generate the maximum sales for them.
Nintendo added that they aim to make available as many as 30 games for the Wii console by the end of the year. The games would cost around USD 50, which is similar to costs of titles for the comparable gaming consoles.
