Europe to get Wii on December 8 this year
Sony might have ditched the European market for the launch of their Playstation 3 console but the market still has something to cheer about.
Nintendo has confirmed that they would be launching the Wii console in Europe on 8 December. The company expects to sell this console at a price tag of 249 euros (£179) and the console would come with Wii Sports series of games.
The games would sell for price between 49 and 59 euros (£34-£39 in the UK). Nintendo aims to make available about 20 games at the launch time. This would include the much-awaited The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
The company added that the retailing stores would start taking pre-orders from today.
Nintendo is aiming to attract the new generation of gamers who are not interested in the more expensive consoles like the Xbox 360 and the PS3 with Nintendo Wii.
