Sony Playstation 3 attract huge crowds at Tokyo game show
Sony might be facing a backlash from the online media regarding their upcoming Videogaming console Sony Playstation 3 but they still managed to attract record crowds at the Tokyo game show.
This was the first event of its kind where the gamers go to play games on this upcoming gaming console, which would take on Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
Gamers stood in line for hours to get their hands on this console. A Sony official said: “I saw all types of people come through, from age five up to 60, and quite a few girls.”
The company is due to launch the PS3 in the Japanese market on Nov. 11 and in the US on Nov. 17.
Sony responded to complaints in the media by reducing the price of the PS3 in the Japanese market by around 20%. However, they are keeping the originally revealed prices in other markets. This has disappointed the gaming fans in the non-Japanese markets.
